Beeline to Provide Transportation of the Medical Staff of Two Tbilisi Hospitals to Fight Coronavirus

Beeline, a member of the international group VEON,  will provide commuting of the medical staff of the National Center for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases and Academician Vakhtang Bochorishvili Clinic from today. The employees, who work in hospitals where patients infected with COVID-19 are treated, mostly reside in the regions. As part of the state of emergency in Georgia, public transport services have been canceled, and Beeline will provide the mobility of the clinic staff through a hired transport company. At the end of each trip, the vehicles are disinfected and the passengers are transported in accordance with the governmental resolution.

Beeline has started preventive measures against the spread of the coronavirus just after the emergence of a new virus and actively continues them today. We were one of the first companies in Georgia to fully transit to the work from home, including the remote work of the Beeline call center. All of Beeline’s stores across the country are closed, but customers can access any Beeline service through digital channels - app, website and online chat, as well as the call center. We have also taken care of about 2,500 of our customers who have stayed abroad due to the closure of borders, and we are offering mobile internet roaming as a gift to provide them with continuous communication. This is just a small list of Beeline’s initiatives,” – stated Mr. Andrzej Malinowski, Beeline’s CEO.

“In addition to caring for our employees and customers, we think it is important to contribute to the country’s overall fight against coronavirus. When we inquired about the needs of the medical staff fighting on the frontline, it turned out that their transportation was one of the most pressing issues. We hope that addressing this concern will provide significant relief to our health professionals who are selflessly fighting for the health of every citizen. I wish the whole country to be healthy and to defeat the virus quickly,” – added Mr. Malinowski.
